Life in Borodom

I moved to a small town in central Kentucky almost 5 years ago, from Omaha, Nebraska. Now, Omaha may not be the biggest city ever, but at near 1 million people, it was a heck of a lot bigger than little Owensboro, at 50,000 souls! One of the things I miss most about the big city turned out to be the food. Omaha had more restaurants and better grocery stores. Just more entertainment, period. The solution to this problem, besides burning gas to go elsewhere? Learning how to cook!

I live with my beloved boyfriend, John, and cat (aka the Boss), Princess. We take trips, go boating, and enjoy visiting family and hanging with friends. I plan to use this blog to share my experiences, not just cooking, but to discuss life in general, it's ups and occasional downs, and about the challenges that cooking can pose in a small town like this.

John and I went to Las Vegas this spring! Rented a cherry red mustang convertible while up there. Highly recommend driving out to see the Hoover dam if you're in Vegas. It's amazing!
